Helen Mirren, The Queen star, revealed an important detail about what transformed Harrison Ford as an actor right before 1923 hits the TV screens for season two on Paramount Plus.
The 79-year-old spilled the beans about the Indiana Jones actor in Wall Street Journal’s February issue that profiled the 82-year-old.
Reflecting on her working experience with the Star Wars alum, the Hundred Foot Journey actor revealed that she had previously worked with Ford on The Mosquito Coast.
The two later reunited on the sets of 1923 when she noticed a significant change in Ford.
Mirren shared that she felt Ford’s trauma of 2015’s plane crash that left actor quite injured.
The scene under discussion was when the character Jacob Dutton, was left badly wounded with bullets as a result of the ambush against his family.
Mirren told the outlet, “He’s been carried into the kitchen, dying and covered in blood, and later Harrison did say to me, ‘That was how I was after the accident,’”
She could see the change in him as she felt “going through that experience just gave him a very different understanding of what it is to be a sentient human being.”
For the unversed, the series 1923 season one which is a prequel to the Paramount Network series Yellowstone and a sequel to the series 1883, premiered on December 18, 2022 on Paramount+. The season two is set to release on February 23, 2025.
