Ashton Kutcher dubs ‘The Beauty’ a pivotal moment in his career
Ashton Kutcher finally making a TV comeback with Ryan Murphy’s The Beauty show
Ashton Kutcher believes that his collaboration with Ryan Murphy for The Beauty is going to be a major turning point in his career.
A source spilled to In Touch Weekly that Ashton’s decision to seize the opportunity “has more to do with rediscovering his original heartthrob roots and trying to recapture a fan base who may have been put off recently” after going through strings of PR nightmares in last few years.
The source noted that it’s a “full circle moment” for Ashton, “not just being back on TV in a high-profile way but because he’s also digging deep into his early-career experiences in the modeling world”.
Another insider revealed that the stakes are “pretty high” after making a comeback on TV because of how “little” the actor has acted over the last few years.
Ashton knows “his work on this show is going to be highly scrutinised but he trusts Ryan, “who tried his best to convince the 70s show star to join the show.”
“The show is going to satirise society’s beauty standards and Ashton looking the hottest he can is essential to the story – just like it was in Demi Moore‘s recent hit The Substance, coincidentally enough,” explained an insider.
Therefore, Ashton has started prepping for the role as he started going to “the gym and tanning booth”.
“He’s taking this job seriously and he’s embracing being a TV star again,” remarked an insider.
The source added, “This show is also the first time Ryan has adapted a comic book for television, and that fact alone is helping to build buzz.”
