Dolly Parton has recently shared insights about Christmas tradition.
Speaking to PEOPLE, the musician said, “Well, I love all the Christmas songs.”
“I love the fast ones, I love the slow ones,” remarked the 78-year-old.
Dolly dished, “I love 'Silent Night' and 'O Little Town of Bethlehem,' but then I love 'Rudolph' and all of those fun things.”
“I just love all of that,” she continued.
Reflecting on the impact of technology on Christmas, the country musician revealed, “We all have either an Alexa or Siri or one of those kinds of things. I just always holler out, 'Alexa, play holiday music for 12 hours in my house,' or something like that, and I just like all of it.”
It is pertinent to mention that Dolly reportedly released several Christmas songs over the years.
She released her first holiday album, Once Upon a Christmas, alongside Kenny Rogers back in 1984. Then she had her solo collection of festive songs, titled Home for Christmas in 1990.
However, the third album, Holly Dolly Christmas, which featured classics including I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus and Mary, Did You Know? was released 30 years later after second one.
Earlier, Dolly recalled how she would spend her Christmas when she was young.
“I always want a live tree because Daddy would take us to chop a tree down. He’d look at all the trees and make us pick out the perfect one,” she told BHG.
The singer added, “And we’d all want to hold the axe, but he wouldn’t let us because we’d have probably chopped each other to pieces.”
