Prince Harry, Meghan clarify major claim as King Charles faces new setback

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle cleared their stance on their ‘non-so-secret’ millions coming to their charities as they close the year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the 2024 Impact Report for their Archewell Foundation, dispelling any qualms about “missing millions” which made headlines few months ago.

The foundation declared its 2023 tax records stating that the “Sussexes’ non-profit organisation allocated $1.3 million of the over $5 million raised to charitable causes” from January to December 2023, via People Magazine.

The outlet reported Archewell’s total revenue for the year amounted to $5.7 million and will be used to support ongoing projects and expand the its work.

The report also dispels speculation that $4 million had been unreported in Archewell’s 2022 tax return. It emphasises that the sum is accounted for in the foundation’s current tax filing for the 2023 fiscal year.

The filing also confirmed that Meghan and Harry do not receive any salary from the foundation.

After Prince Harry and Meghan clarified their stance on their “missing millions”, King Charles and Prince William are under fire for earning “secret millions” from their private estates, at the cost of public sector entities, including NHS hospitals, schools and even prison.

According to an investigation by Channel 4’s Dispatches and the Sunday Times, King Charles and Prince William’s duchies say they are not funded by taxpayers, but they do receive income from public services.
