Sarah Ferguson marks major first milestone for royal family
Sarah Ferguson becomes first royal member to take this major step
Sarah Ferguson has taken on a key role as the first member of the royal family.
The Duchess of York joined TikTok to raise awareness about cancer and the importance of regular medical checkups.
In a one-minute video clip titled "How it felt to be diagnosed with #breastcancer," Sarah said, "Hollow feeling of total abject fear."
She added, "The drive from Royal Free to Edward VII Hospital was 40 minutes, and I just didn't speak. I couldn't speak. It's really interesting for me not to speak."
The mother of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice shared that her cancer diagnosis took her back to little Sarah who used to deal with the problems.
"It's only now that I am really proud of my scars. They're really important," she remarked.
The Duchess urged people to ask for help and gave a hopeful message that everything will be okay. She said, "And you can find joy and you can not worry so much."
For the unversed, the former wife of Prince Andrew was diagnosed with breast and skin cancer. In an interview with The Sun, she shared that her medical team still has not called her "cancer-free," however, the "treatment appears victorious."
