Shakira walks off stage after fans cross serious boundaries at Miami club
Shakira abruptly ended her performance as fans seemingly tried to film up her dress
Shakira didn’t hesitate to set boundaries when fans seemingly crossed the line during her recent appearance at LIV Miami.
The Colombian superstar, 47, was performing over the weekend when she abruptly left the stage after fans attempted to film up her dress.
The Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker was all smiles while dancing to her upcoming single, “Soltera,” but things took a turn when she noticed inappropriate behaviour from the crowd.
Shakira swiftly pulled at her dress, wagged her finger, and signalled she saw what was happening by pointing at her eyes.
After briefly continuing her performance, the Grammy winner stopped again, gripping her hem and making it clear she was done. She then exited the stage, stepping into the VIP area with fans and security.
Social media users took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their support for the star. “That’s truly disappointing behaviour,” one user commented, adding that artists deserve respect. Others defended Shakira, emphasising that “wearing a short dress is not an invitation to snap pics.”
However, a source claimed to Page Six that “it was actually her photo and video team that she was trying to get to stop filming her while she was enjoying the moment with the crowd and fans.”
