Prince William seemingly gave into his wife Kate Middleton’s heartfelt request, as he made a major move in his feud with brother Prince Harry.
The Princess of Wales, who recently announced that she was cancer-free earlier this month, still reportedly holds a soft corner for her estranged brother-in-law and made an earnest to William.
Kate wanted “nothing more than for William to reach out and wish Harry a happy 40th birthday,” former royal butler Paul Burrell told Closer magazine previously.
He added that the Catherine has “always been a mediator and she always sees fairness,” and she wants the estranged brothers to “make amends and have a relationship again.”
It appears Kate was finally able to convince William to initiate the first step as they issued a heartfelt birthday message for the Duke of Sussex on his 40th birthday on Sunday.
The official social media account of the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a birthday message on its Instagram Stories, which was initially posted by King Charles’ office.
A source previously revealed to the outlet that Kate and the monarch are hatching plans for a royal patch-up between William and Harry as cancer-stricken Charles feels “miserable” being stuck between his sons.
“They’re sitting down, working out an action plan,” the insider told Closer. “And once again trying to see if they come up with a compromise in the interest of peace.”
It remains to be seen if King Charles' two sons will be reunited properly once again and put it end to their feud.
