James Middleton confesses rare detail about Kate, Prince William’s marriage
Kate Middleton’s brother shares moment Prince William proved himself 'perfect fit'
Kate Middleton and Prince William’s loving bond was recently put on display as the Princess of Wales delighted the public with her uplifting health update.
As there was buzz surrounding Kate being “cancer-free” after nine months of chemotherapy, her brother James recalls how a “terrific buzz” took over the country when hers and William’s engagement rumours were rampant.
James set the record straight over any marital troubles between the Prince and Princess of Wales as shared a rare insight into the couple relationship in his forthcoming memoir.
Recalling the day when the engagement was announced in November 2010, James dubbed the experience to be “surreal.”
“There on the front page was a picture of Catherine in her blue dress,” read the excerpt from James' memoir, published by Daily Mail. “I tucked a copy under my arm and walked home with a sense that it was all quite surreal.”
“I thought how lucky William was to be marrying my capable, down-to-earth big sister, and I felt absolutely reassured that they were in love,” he continued. “It was beautiful to see how he brought out her confidence. She’d blossomed. I knew he’d look after her, and he does to this day.”
Elsewhere in the memoir, James wrote that the Middleton family was “fond” of William and he thought the future king was the “perfect fit” for his sister.
