Ed Sheeran makes bold admission about his life of fame
Ed Sheeran confesses that his music career has been a 'game-changer' in his love life
Ed Sheeran shared his thoughts on being a musician, revealing that his career has had a significant impact on his love life.
The Shivers hitmaker, who has been ruling the music charts since the early 2010s’, took to his Instagram to poke fun at himself.
The 33-year-old posted a clip on the social media giant in which he could be seen hooked up to a giant screen, playing games like Pokémon and Nintendo.
Ed quipped, “If I wasn’t a musician, I would be a virgin.”
Meanwhile, he wrote in the caption, “Pokemon Stadium in the stadium #superawesomewickedcool #wannacometomybirthdayparty #itlbefunpromise #cake.”
However, one fan highlighted that this statement directly contradicts Ed’s own account in his autobiography, in which he confessed to not playing video games while growing up.
The singer previously claimed in Ed Sheeran: A Visual Journey, “We didn’t own a video games console and I honestly think that was one of the best things my mum never did.
“So all the time that my friends were playing Grand Theft Auto, I was sat there practicing the guitar over and over and over again.”
Ed said at the time, “To this day, I don’t know what to do on an Xbox or a PlayStation.”
The Shape of You singer has been married to his childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn since they exchanged vows in a private ceremony in 2019.
