Will Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki reunite on ‘Bad Boys’? Creator answers
Eric Kripke, creator of ‘Bad Boys,’ previously worked with Jensen and Jared on ‘Supernatural’
Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki may very likely get to share the screen again for The Boys.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, The Boys creator Eric Kripke – who also created Ackles and Padalecki’s hit series Supernatural – revealed that is seriously considering bringing Padalecki on board for the upcoming season 5 to reunite with Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy.
“The value of that [reunion] is to break the internet,” Kripke acknowledged, adding, “So we’ll see whether it’s right for the story.”
He further explained that though he has no character or storyline for Padalecki yet, “it does seem like the planets are aligning” for Padalecki’s appearance. Kripke declared, “Barring any unforeseen disaster, it seems like it’ll happen.”
Meanwhile, Padalecki – who played Ackles’ on-screen younger brother Sam Winchester on Supernatural – responded with a resounding “yes” when asked by Deadline on June 21 if he would be interested in joining The Boys.
“I don’t think [The Bad Boys season 5] films until next year, but I will be ready when he makes the phone call. I’ll just say, ‘Okay, when am I flying out?’” he admitted.
