Austin Butler reveals his starstruck moment with Ryan Gosling
Austin Butler admits that he was too shy to introduce himself to Ryan Gosling
Austin Butler, the actor nominated for an Oscar, admitted on Today Show that he was speechless and starstruck when he first saw Ryan Gosling.
Butler opened up about how nervous he was after their encounter and that he could not find the bravery to introduce himself.
“I was just telling a story yesterday about getting starstruck by Ryan Gosling recently. It’s when you don’t expect to see somebody — so I saw him outside of a hotel that I was staying in, and I had to go into another door,” Butler recalled.
“I couldn’t even say hello. Because I grew up admiring him so much.”
When host Savannah Guthrie reminded the actor portraying Elvis that he’s also a star, he responded, “I know. But that doesn’t feel real."
But Butler wasn't the only famous Hollywood figure who captured her attention; Gosling wasn't the only one.
He also remembered being at a recent Paul McCartney-hosted star-studded party. Taylor Swift, Tom Hanks, Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen, and Ringo Starr were among the guests, he disclosed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this week.
“Some people I know — Paul I’ve met a couple times. He’s so sweet,” the Dune: Part Two actor told Guthrie before revealing another starstruck moment.
“I had never met Springsteen, so that was really… Those are those moments that you just, you can hardly fathom the amount of talent that’s surrounding you.”
