Shakira set the record straight on a major rumours about how she found out about her ex Gerard Piqué’s infidelity.
The Hips Don’t Lie singer, 47, revealed to The Sunday Times in an interview that rumours about the “jar of jam” are “not true.”
The Colombian singer and songwriter ended her 11-year long relationship publicly in June 2022. The exes share two sons, Milan, 11, and Sasha, 9.
The cheating allegations against the Spanish footballer surfaced when he began dating Clara Chia Marti just two months after their split.
Prior to this, Shakira had released her song Te Felicito with Rauw Alejandro, in which the singer is seen looking into her fridge to find a half empty jam jar.
When she was asked about the moment in May 2022 at a UK morning show, This Morning, she reportedly said that she looked in the fridge “to find the truth.”
The interview, which was translated from Spanish to English per ShowNews Today, also brought up that the She Wolf musician had found out about Piqué's alleged infidelity after she came home from a trip and noticed some of her jam was missing.
This had sparked theories about the jam jar which the singer has now refuted in new claims.
