Kate Middleton’s uncle dishes on meeting Prince William first time
Kate Middleton's uncle will be appearing on 'Celebrity Big Brother' amid warnings from Middleton family
Kate Middleton’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, couldn’t help but continue with his antics as he appeared in a promotional video for Celebrity Big Brother UK on Monday.
Gary, who is a London businessman and will be appearing on the forthcoming season 23 marking his TV debut, detailed the first time he met Prince William.
In the video clip, Gary begins with praises for his niece. “I am the Gary Goldsmith, the uncles to the future queen of our country, Catherine Middleton, the current Princess of Wales.”
He added, “She is simply perfect.”
Gary then went on to recall meeting William for the first time. “The first time I met William, Catherine was cooking and William said, ‘Hi, do you want a cup of tea?’”
“Very normal,” Goldsmith quipped with a laugh.
The clip comes amid reports that the Middleton family is concerned about Gary’s TV appearance and what he will reveal on the show about the royals.
A source told The Sun that Kate’s uncle has been “read the riot act” by his sister Carole Middleton.
“They aren’t happy he’s going into Celebrity Big Brother. It is infuriating for them. Kate doesn’t need this stress.”
In the video clip, he also said, “I often read that people think I’m a bit of a bad boy.”
He added, “It’d be lovely to put the record straight, but winding people up is probably my favourite hobby. Every part of me is just riddled with mischief and danger.”
