Cristiano Ronaldo gifts 'signed' jersey to boost Vinicius Junior's morale amid injury
Portugal jersey worn by Ronaldo during his game against Liechtenstein, features personal message from Al Nassr star
In a thoughtful gesture, legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo gifted his "signed" jersey to boost the morale of Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior whose 2023 season faces uncertainty following his injury during the World Cup qualifiers against Colombia.
The Portugal jersey — which also features a message from Ronaldo — was worn by the Al Nassr star during his game against Liechtenstein, reported Goal.
The 23-year-old Real Madrid winger took to social media to share the picture of Ronaldo's thoughtful gift.
“A little trip of my gallery," the caption read on his Instagram account.
Ronaldo's gesture is a testament to his kind-hearted personality and his willingness to support and uplift his fellow players.
Last week, Vinicius injured his left thigh during Brazil's 2-1 loss against Columbia and is expected to miss action for weeks before resuming in the second month of the new year.
Ronaldo's gift will surely boost his morale as he recovers from the injury.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo scored a brace, including a 40-yard stunner, during Al Nassr’s 3-0 win over Al Akhdoud on Saturday.
Vinicius immediately praised his idol by writing, "SIIIII", accompanied by a crown symbol on either side of it, in the comment section under Ronaldo's Instagram post.
In addition, Rodrigo, his Real Madrid teammate, praised the football hero in a comment that included a goat and a heart-eyed face emoji.
Notably, the 38-year-old forward still tops the Saudi Pro League's top scorer rankings after this brace as he has scored 15 goals thus far. He will undoubtedly want to maintain his form.
