Rehabilitation for Pete Davidson confirmed amid mental health struggles
Pete Davidson seeks professional treatment in rehab to address ongoing mental health issues
It has been revealed that Pete Davidson, the former cast member of Saturday Night Live, is currently undergoing rehab.
A source close to the situation has disclosed that the 29-year-old comedian has been actively seeking "professional treatment" to manage his mental health issues, emphasizing that this is an ongoing process for him.
Page Six initially broke the news citing a source who disclosed that Davidson had checked into a facility as he grapples with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
According to an insider, "Pete regularly goes to rehab for 'tune-ups' and to take a mental break, so that’s what’s happening."
A trusted friend of Davidson added, "Anyone who knows Pete knows that he will always step up and get help when he knows he needs it."
People magazine also received confirmation from another source, stating, "Pete will often check himself into rehab to work on these issues... his friends and family have been supportive during this time."
The Bupkis star has been vocal about his mental health struggles for several years and received a diagnosis of BPD in 2017.
