Megan Moroney shared a heartfelt update about her next album, Cloud 9.
She announced the upcoming release of the new chapter in music a few days back.
At CMA awards, the Tennessee Orange singer gave insight into the inspiration behind the songs in the new album.
“I literally write about my real life,” said in an exclusive interview with E! News on November 19.
She explained that the record draws from her own experiences with heartbreak and romance.
“There will definitely be songs on the album where you’re trying to put the pieces together.”
Moroney’s confident pink style turned heads at the award ceremony.
She performed her single 6 Months Later in a sparkly pink outfit at the celeb-filled event.
Moroney explained that the colour choice reflects the softer, more confident tone of her new work.
“I chose pink because I think there is a softness about this music that isn’t in my other albums,” she told Variety.
“It’s about falling in love and falling out of love, but when you’re truly confident, it’s not the end of the world when it doesn’t work out.”
She also admitted ‘writing sad songs’ is easy for her but ‘there’s so much hope and confidence that it’s gonna be OK, which is definitely a new theme that I explored in this album.’
