Adam Sandler reveals his journey to stardom during David Letterman show

Adam Sandler has recently opened up his journey to movie stardom in an upcoming episode of Netflix’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman.

During the show, the actor, who is currently promoting his new movie Jay Kelly, will reflect on his career trajectory from stand-up comedy to Saturday Night Live to movies.

“I did this one show in Boston, and my dad and brother came to see it, and I ate it so hard in front of my dad, and I hated that,” recalled Adam while speaking to David in a preview clip about his early years.

After leaving the stage, the Murder Mystery actor mentioned he “turns around, and the emcee goes — and I was 17 — he says, ‘Were you the class clown in school?’ And I go, ‘Yeah.’ And he goes, ‘Stick with that.’ And the place goes (loud cheers)”.

In a separate interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Adam addressed the response to Happy Gilmore 2 movie which was released earlier this year.

“We couldn’t be happier,” continued the 50 First Dates actor.

Adam added, “It’s something that I can’t describe. Just walking down the street, hearing people talk about it even before it came out — we were like, something fun is going on here.”

Meanwhile, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman, which will feature a conversation with Adam, will begin streaming on December 1.
