Elizabeth Olsen has recently shared her honest take on women ageing in Hollywood.
The WandaVision actress revealed the best part of the movie is to see oneself growing old in a new interview with Page Six.
When reporter asked if Olsen believes in afterlife as she is currently promoting her new movie, Eternity.
To which the In Secret actress replied, “No… I don’t believe in it all.”
But Olsen pointed out that the most enjoyable moment in the movie is getting to imagine, more than afterlife, is growing old.
“Because I think we are lucky if we get to reach that age,” explained the 36-year-old.
However, the reporter chimed in and said that this is something actresses have difficulty in saying as their “looks are so commodified and it’s all about being young in the industry”.
Love & Death actress responded, “I don’t know but then look at faces that you have watched for their entire careers like Gena Rowlands or Diane Keaton.”
She continued, “I still see a woman living life like it’s exactly who they are. So, it doesn’t scare me and I think it’s inspiring.”
Reflecting on ageing, the actress noted that the experience women had, lives on their face and who they become.
Olsen added, “I look forward to.”
Meanwhile, Eternity is slated to release in theatres on November 26.
