Brad Pitt honours late Burt Reynolds after memorable life experience

Brad Pitt feels indebted to Burt Reynolds, who was supposed to co-star with him in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, for the memories they shared.

The 61-year-old actor honoured the late actor in author Jay Glennie's book, The Making of Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, which is now published.

The F1 star described his time working with Reynolds as "one of the greatest moments I have ever had in this industry," before he passed away in 2018.

Pitt continued, "To spend time with Burt Reynolds over those days was just f------ everything, man. He was the guy and there will never be anybody like him."

Reynolds was supposed to play the character of George Spahn in the movie and had already participated in rehearsals with the Fight Club actor, Dakota Fanning, and other co-stars before he passed away.

"To put the cherry on top of this entire poignant episode involving myself and Burt Reynolds and his involvement with Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, the last performance Burt Reynolds ever gave was saying my lines when Brad acted with him, with me directing during our rehearsal," Quentin Tarantino said in the book. "It was the last role Burt ever did."

After the sad demise of the Hollywood legend, Tarantino cast Bruce Dern to replace him in the movie.
