Kim Kardashian isn’t officially a lawyer just yet — unless you’re referring to her latest on-screen role in All’s Fair.
The reality star and entrepreneur shared on Instagram Stories that she didn’t pass the bar exam she took over the summer.
“Well…I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,” Kardashian wrote. “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination.”
She expressed gratitude to everyone who has supported her through this process, adding, “Falling isn’t short of failure — it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more.”
This marks another setback after Kardashian previously failed the California bar exam three times. However, she successfully passed the “baby bar” in 2021 — a major milestone in California’s law apprenticeship route.
Kardashian has been pursuing her legal studies through an apprenticeship program, inspired by her growing passion for criminal justice reform.
In a 2022 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she shared her long-term goal: “I want to finish law school and then my ultimate goal is to open up a firm that hires formerly incarcerated people.”
The Skims founder, known for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, is following in the footsteps of her late father, attorney Robert Kardashian, who was part of O.J. Simpson’s defense team.
Currently, Kardashian stars in Ryan Murphy’s All’s Fair as a lawyer alongside Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, and Niecy Nash. Despite mixed critical reviews — THR’s critic called it “stiff and affectless” — the series has become Hulu’s No 1 show.
Playfully addressing the criticism, Kardashian joked on Instagram, “Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year!?!?!?”
