Jennifer Lawrence nervousness got the best of her as she couldn’t control her tears from falling and feeling anxious during an interview.
The Hunger Games star repeatedly burst into loud, dramatic wails during her wide-range candid conversation, during her appearance at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
At the beginning of their chat, the Oscar winner admitted that she was very “nervous” as she discussed feeling like she was "annoying" in interviews when she was younger.
When Fallon pointed out to Lawrence that “everything you say kind of gets picked up in the press.” To which the No Hard Feelings actress admitted that she is “so annoying.”
After Fallon assured her that she is not annoying, the conversation moved on with the host asking her about how she became attached to her new movie, Die My Love.
That’s where her first tearful incident occurred.
While sharing the lengthy story of becoming part of the film, Lawrence referring to the movie’s director said, “Lynne Ramsay is someone I've always wanted to work with. So basically, she cracked it and she's a genius and… I can't believe I’m still talking!"
Right after admitting she ducked her head and began to weep loudly in her seat over. Fallon surprised by her sudden outburst tried to tackle the situation yelling, “No, stop crying! Stop crying! You're having fun on a talk show! Stop crying. Just trust me, this is fun."
His words successfully made her lightly chuckle through her tearful reaction, as she agreed to wipe off her tears.
However, only few minutes into further conversation she again became teary while sharing a story about a comment that got lost in translation on the film's Canadian set.
She explained that while filming in Canada, the Canadians refer to actors’ trailers as their “rooms,” whereas she thought “room” meant her hotel room. When the line producer asked if some background child actors could use her “room,” she briefly thought they wanted to put three kids in her hotel room.
The misunderstanding made the line producer so frustrated that he eventually just said he'd ask Ramsay if they could stay in her trailer.
"This whole back-and-forth where he thinks we're crazy, we obviously think he's crazy, and then it was just a misunderstanding," she said, ending the story by promptly bursting into another wave of mock tears.
However, this time Fallon remained unfazed and continued the conversation.
Die My Love follows a young mother who descends into madness after moving to the countryside with her husband (Robert Pattinson).
The film is slated for release on November 7.
