Channing Tatum has recently reflected on significant moment with Benedict Cumberbatch.
The Dear John actor recalled the conversation with Benedict very early in his career at the time of around Foxcatcher.
“I think we went to the Oscars that year. We are sitting literally away from everybody and kind of just having this conversation,” explained the 45-year-old in a new interview with Deadline.
Channing pointed out, “I was like, you just feel like you could just pour you into any vessel, right? And you could just be that, like it’s beyond my comprehension of how that specifically British, you know, actors do what they do.”
Channing was overwhelmed after receiving compliment from Benedict.
Doctor Strangeactor gushed about Magic Mike actor, saying, “You are so smart with everything that I think I have done a lot in my career which is imposter syndrome in a way. I think I learned on the job in a way.”
“I got I was getting jobs before I really knew. What I was doing and kind of saying, I was just trying to hope to like find it on the day.”
Channing mentioned that Benedict really took care of him in that moment.
“And he’s like, yes, like look I have definitely trained like that he’s like, but you do something that I don’t think I could do,” continued the Roofman actor.
Meanwhile, Channing added, “Benedict didn’t really elaborate but he really like gave me a huge gift that day coming from him. I will never forget it was a huge gift for him to just kind of give me that kind of confidence.”
