Johnny Depp fans are eagerly wait to hear an announcement regarding his comeback in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

The 62-year-old’s career went upside down when he got involved in a legal battle with his former partner Amber Heard in 2022.

The defamation trial not only tarnished his reputation, but also affected his career as he lost some of his most popular film franchises including Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice in Wonderland.

Ever since, there has been a confirmation that a sixth sequel of the Pirates film series is in development, fans are curious to know whether the legendary star would be reprising his iconic role as Captain Jack Sparrow.

There are ongoing rumours that the Tourist actor might return for the new potential sequel, but there is no confirmation yet.

Amid all the speculations, Depp has finally broken his silence about the news at his new film Modi’s premiere.

While interacting media at the event, the Corpse Bride star was asked about returning to Pirates of the Caribbean.

He simply told Entertainment Tonight, “Oh yeah, that would be fun.” His response was quite vague and it dropped a hint that he is not ruling out the chances of his comeback.

Previously, producer Jerry Bruckheimer also addressed the possibility of Johnny return to the franchise.

"If he likes the way the part's written, I think he would do it. It's all about what's on the page, as we all know."
