Sam Claflin looked back on the time when he accidentally hit Jennifer Aniston while filming The Hunger Games Sequel Catching Fire.
The two starred as Finnick Odair and Katniss Everdeen in the franchise.
In conversation with the People magazine,he revealed that he trident his character Finnick Odair used in Catching Fire once broke off while he was filming a fight scene with Lawrence and left a bruise on her.
"I remember this one time at the end of a take, I was like, 'Oh my God, the bottom of my trident came off in the middle of that fight choreography,' " he said.
Claflin continued, "I remember Jen saying, 'I know what [happened]...' She basically, in the middle of the fight, she felt like she'd been bitten in the bum, and she ended up realizing that the end of my trident spun off and smacked her right in the bum cheek."
The Me Before You actor said that Lawrence than took a photo of the injury which tuned out to be in the same shape as of the trident.
Claflin stars as Finnick Odair, a former victor from District 4. He is charming and skilled with trident but beneath his confident demeanor he carries emotional depth and trauma from his experiences in the Games and under Capitol’s control.
He becomes an ally to Katniss Everdeen in Catching Fire and later joins the rebellion against President Snow in Mockingjay part one and two.
