Floyd Roger Myers Jr., Fresh Prince and The Jacksons star, has died at age 42.

According to TMZ, the child-actor-turned-mental-health-advocate passed away from a heart attack at his Maryland home early Wednesday morning, October 29.

His mother, Renee Trice, told the outlet she had spoken to him just hours before his death. She revealed that it was his fourth heart attack in the last three years.

Renee paid tribute to her son on Facebook, sharing a photo of him with his four young children — Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox. “This is not supposed to be so,” the grieving mother wrote.

Myers made his acting debut in 1992, playing Young Will Smith in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, before portraying Michael Jackson’s brother Marlon in the ABC limited series The Jacksons: An American Dream. His final on-screen appearance came in 2000 on Young Americans.

Since his acting career, Myers co-founded The Fellaship Mens Group to help men “lead, heal & thrive.” The organisation also mourned the loss of “our good brother.”

“Gone but never will be forgotten. The mission will continue in your honor… Love you bro, rest easy…”

His sister, Tyree Trice, launched a GoFundMe to help cover the costs of his funeral, which will take place on Monday, November 3rd. Tyree described him as “a devoted father, loving brother, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and warmth touched everyone he met.”
