Ariana Grande, Allie Trimm, and Aaron Simon Gross had a heartwarming reunion nearly two decades after starring together in the 2008 Broadway musical 13.

The trio came together on Monday, October 28, at a special screening of Wicked: For Good in New York City, attended by members of the Broadway and touring companies of Wicked.

Captured by People magazine, the moment saw Grande, 32, and Trimm, 31, embrace with big smiles before posing for photos in front of the film’s artwork. Trimm, now performing as Glinda in Wicked on Broadway, wore Elphaba green, playfully nodding to the show.

After greeting Wicked’s current Elphaba, Lencia Kebede, the two were soon joined by Gross, 32, who has been a longtime friend of Grande since their childhood in Boca Raton, Florida.

Their original production of 13 ran from October 5, 2008, to January 4, 2009, and made Broadway history as the first musical to feature an all-teen cast and band. Though short-lived, it became a beloved favorite among theater fans, later inspiring a 2022 Netflix film adaptation.

During the screening, Wicked: For Good director Jon M. Chu and Grande addressed the audience. “This was done with so much love and respect for all of you who have done, and still do, eight shows a week of this,” Grande shared.

Wicked: For Good hits theaters November 21, while Wicked continues its celebrated run at the Gershwin Theatre.
