Emma Stone has recently made rare comment about her longtime friend and fellow actress Jennifer Lawrence.
The Bugonia star gushes over The Hunger Games actress’ acting ability in a new profile story for The New Yorker.
Emma shares, “She just becomes it, like a child actor.”
“The circumstance around you is real. Be in it. That’s what everybody wishes they could do,” explains the 34-year-old.
Elsewhere in the interview, Emma cites a theatre adage about actors, saying, “The audience would watch the cat.”
Elucidating this phrase, the Poor Things actress notes, “It’s going to respond genuinely in the moment, while the actors are still acting.”
Interestingly, Emma believes it’s that quality and “Jennifer’s the cat”.
For those unversed, both celebrities first met through mutual friend and co-star Woody Harrelson.
Earlier, Jennfier spoke to Vogue and praises Emma, describing her “an undeniable talent” after her two Oscar wins.
“In true Emily form, as soon as we got offstage and ran into the bathroom to scream and cry, I whispered, Two-time best-actress winner, and she replied, ‘I feel like that’s bad, though,’” stated the No Hard Feelingsactress.
Meanwhile, Jennifer also addressed Emma shaving her head for her latest movie, Bugonia.
“I really didn’t want her to shave her head. I had already lived through the Billie Jean King haircut,” she pointed out.
Jennifer added that she found Emma “beautiful”.
