Gen V season 2 wrapped up with a bang on October 22, leaving fans buzzing as Marie Moreau and her friends joined the Starlight Resistance.
The explosive finale has naturally sparked one big question: will the The Boys spin-off return for another season.
So far, Prime Video hasn’t officially confirmed a third season of Gen V. The series began as a college-set extension of Eric Kripke’s hit show The Boys, which itself is based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
Like its precursor, Gen V leans into shocking violence, dark humor, and justly altered superheroes though its young cast gives it a campus-sized dose of chaos.
Kripke recently told The Wrap that the show’s renewal largely depends on audience engagement.
“We’ve always had a lot of support,” he explained, “but we still have to deliver ratings. Viewers need to show up to justify more of them.”
Still, Kripke teased that the creative team already has an exciting plan for Gen V Season 3, should it get the green light.
Complicating matters, there’s been a leadership shake-up at Amazon Studios, with Peter Friedlander, who previously worked at Netflix, stepping in as head of global TV.
Such changes often influence programming decisions, though fans are hoping he’s as enthusiastic about The Boys universe as the viewers are.
With The Boys ending after its fifth season in 2026 and other spin-offs like Vought Rising and The Boys: Mexico on the way, the fate of Gen V remains up in the air but far from over.
