James Gunn reveals his future plans for DC universe

James Gunn, the co-CEO of DC Universe, shared an outline on the future of the beloved franchise.

The director of Superman film and Peacemaker season 2 revealed what exciting films and TV shows lies ahead for the fans.

In an interview with Deadline, he shared, "Man of Tomorrow was an idea I've had for a long time. I think I know the next few I'm directing, so I already know, frankly."

He added, "Because it's a part of the plan of the DCU, there is one big story. On the one hand, I want everything is going to be okay to watch by itself."

Gunn revealed that all the new films will be interconnected with one another even though he previously said that they would be stand alone.

"But also, there's a bigger story being told that involves, say, Salvation, and that story involves Rick Flag, it involves Lex and Superman," he continued. "There's those movies that I'm going to be directing. That's the plan right now, at least."

Along with having everything pretty much planned, Gunn admitted that due to so much work load he "may get f---- tired that I can't do it, because I'm pretty tired, but we'll see. But there's a plan that I'm going to do a couple more, at least."

With his plans shared, Gunn's Peacemaker season two has recently ended. Meanwhile Supergirl film is set to release June 26, 2026 and Man of Tomorrow on July 9, 2027.
