Mark Ruffalo addresses absence from ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ cast announcement

Mark Ruffalo broke his silence on Avengers: Doomsday snub despite playing Hulk/ Bruce Banner and being an important cast member in previous films of the franchise.

The highly-anticipated MCU film is set to be a massive cinematic event with a number of A-lister celebrities involved.

In his latest appearance atThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the host asked why he hasn't been mentioned as part of Marvel's upcoming movie.

"Can you say why you weren't in the Avengers trailer?" Fallon asked him teasingly. "Every time you're on the show, you give a spoiler and you get in trouble."

Ruffalo quipped, "They decided that it was better to get rid of me than for me to tell the end of the next movie," earning a laugh from Fallon who said, "All right, that makes sense."

The Task star has a knack of spoiling his own films.

Previously, he accidently live-streamed a part of Thor: Ragnarokon Instagram before its release and then few months later spilled details on the ending of Avengers: Infinity War months before its premiere.

Although, Ruffalo has shared his thoughts on being left out from Doomsday, it is unclear whether he will be part of the upcoming film, which features countless of his fellow Marvel stars such as Chris Hemsworth, Simu Liu, Robert Downey Jr, and many more.

As of now Ruffalo is confirmed to reprise his role in next year's Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland and is releasing on July 31.

Meanwhile, Avengers: Doomsday is slated for release on December 18, 2026.
