The Universal studios has dropped the final trailer of highly anticipated sequel of Wicked directed byJon M. Chu.
According to the trailer, the Broadway Musical adaptation ofWicked: For Good, features several movements from Wizard of Oz which will play a key role in shaping the story.
One of the clips in the trailer features the characters, Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, and Scarecrow face the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum), from the original source.
"Bring me the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West," the Wizard instructs them. "So I have proof that she's dead."
Another scene shows the arrival of tornado of Oz seemingly controlled by Michelle Yeoh's Madame Morrible.
Elsewhere, Glinda (Grande) receives her iconic pink bubble and her romance with Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) also reaches new highs at their wedding.
The trailer was set to the songs, Thank Goodness, No Good Deed and For Good, in the background.
In addition to Grande, Elphaba, Bailey and Yeoh, the film also includes, Marissa Bode as Nessarose Thropp, Ethan Slater as Boq Woodsman, Bowen Yang as Pfannee and Bronwyn James as ShenShen.
Previously, Chu in conversation with the Entertainment Weekly teased about what to expect from the story saying, "If Part 1 is about choices, Part 2 is about consequences."
He continued, "There's a lot of soul searching in movie 2. They're asking, 'Is this the right decision that you made?'"
Wicked: For Good is slated for release on November 21.
