DC CEO James Gunn has finally shared an exciting update about his upcoming Batman film.

Gunn’s The Brave and the Bold will mainly focus on the unique dynamic between the Dark Knight and his son Damian Wayne, also known as Robin.

So far there is no update about who will be enacting the DCU’s caped crusader. However, the Superman director has shared another promising update with fans.

According to the 59-year-old filmmaker, he has a "good story" in mind for the new movie.

“I think we have a really, really good story now for what’s happening with Batman”, said James while speaking on 2 Bears, 1 Cave podcast.

The news comes after Gunn spoke about his plans to cast an actor for the lead role.

In conversation with Screen Rant, he was asked if he has thought about the casting of the new Batman film.

He replied, "Do I have ideas about actors to play Batman? Absolutely, I do. I have guys I like. I have guys that are at the top of the list, just like I had people that were at the top of the list for Superman.”

James further revealed, “I know one actor in particular who's a pretty big star that wants to be Batman. We’ve talked about it, but I'm not sure that’s the case.”

Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson’s The Batman Part II is set to come out in theatres on October 1, 2027.
