Angelina Jolie has recently shared rare insights about her latest movie, Couture.
The actress, who plays the role of Maxine Walker in writer-director Alice Winocour’s movie, revealed what she learned from Couture at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Angelina noted that there is a “softness” to this new movie, and a connection to other women that’s different from what she has done before.
“I had not done a movie so female-oriented,” said the 50-year-old in a new interview with E! News during premiere.
The Tomb Raider actress mentioned that there are also “wonderful men” in this movie, but she believed it’s “very female and very united with females from different parts of the world”.
Angelina further said that the movie showed how women are very different and go through different experiences.
However, the Maria actress added, “We women are more similar than we are not.”
Earlier, speaking to Variety, Angelina discussed her character suffering from breast cancer in the movie,
The Wanted actress felt it personal as she lost her mother to breast and ovarian cancer back in 2007.
Meanwhile, Angelina disclosed that she sought comfort by wearing one of her late mother’s necklaces in the movie.
“I felt very vulnerable,” she remarked.
