Fan favourite HBO’s anthology series, The White Lotus, is reportedly gearing up for its fourth season.
As the series filming moves forward a major update on its new location reportedly revealed, France. Creator Mike White and HBO executives have "zeroed in" on the country as the location for the upcoming season, according to Deadline.
However, the details like which city, place has yet to be confirmed, the series has a history of partnering with the Four Seasons hotel chain, which has three luxury resorts in the country: the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera, the Megève in the Alps, and the Hotel George V in Paris.
Previous seasons of The White Lotus have taken place in Hawaii, Italy, and Thailand.
The creator of the series, Mike White, has been tight-lipped about the future settings of the series, but he did hint at a change of pace for season 4.
"For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the 'crashing waves against rocks' vernacular," he said. Francesca Orsi, HBO's head of drama, also gave a subtle hint, saying, "I can't really say where we're going to land, but chances are somewhere in Europe."
He has unveiled his plans for future shooting plans of the show and how he wants to explore different continents and locations. "My dream would be to hit every continent," he said at Sydney's Vivid Festival in 2023.
"We kind of have to come to Australia if we keep going... It would be so fun. Obviously, there's a huge wealth of talent here and the beauty is inarguable, so it feels like it checks all the boxes."
As The White Lotus’s new season set to premiere in the future, no release date has been decided yet, fans are eagerly awaiting more information about the location and plot.
All three seasons of The White Lotus are currently streaming on HBO Max.
