Paul Mescal talked about his experience of meeting the music legend Paul McCartney ahead of the upcoming Beatles biopic.
The Normal People actor is set to play Here Comes the Sun crooner in the first four-part movie.
In an interview with the IndieWire while discussing his film projects, Hamnet and The History of Sound, also talked about the highly anticipated musical feature.
The Gladiator II actor revealed that he recently had an encounter with McCartney.
"It’s a crazy sentence to say that I’ve spent time with that man, let alone play him," Mescal said.
He went on to call the 19-time Grammy Award winner "an extraordinary man," adding that he will "absolutely" be doing his own singing as McCartney.

Earlier this year, during the Cinema Con in Las Vegas, the films' director Sam Mendes described his projectThe Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, the "first bingeable theatrical experience."
Mescal's films' Hamnet will release on November 27, The History of Sound on September 12, meanwhile, Beatles films are currently slated for release in April 2028.
