Although Denzel has over 40 movies under his belt, the actor revealed he’s made too many of these movies that he’s fed up of them.

“I don’t watch movies, man. I really don’t,” said the two-time Oscar winner in a new interview with GQ magazine.

Denzel pointed out that he’s “just being honest… I don’t watch movies! I don’t go to the movies”.

Gladiator II star reiterated, “I don’t watch movies. … I’m tired of movies.”

When director Spike Lee asked Denzel about the number of movies he’s made over the years, to which The Equalizer actor responded, “Too many. I think 50!”

Earlier this month, the Malcolm X actor opened up that his acting decision has nothing to do with winning awards.

“I don’t do it for Oscars. I don’t care about that kind of stuff,” disclosed Denzel during an appearance on the Jake’s Takes podcast.

Denzel noted, “I’ve been at this a long time, and there’s time when I won and shouldn’t have won and then didn’t win and should’ve won.”

“Man gives the award. God gives the reward,” declared the Flight actor.

Denzel told the podcast host, “I’m not that interested in Oscars. On my last day, [Oscars] aren’t going to do me a bit of good.”

Meanwhile, the actor’s Highest 2 Lowest, which is now playing in limited theatres, will be available on Apple TV+ from September 5.
