Veteran actress Helen Mirren has shared the how it feels like after turning 80.
The Red actress has expressed how annoyed she feels of the younger people, who patronize her due to her age.
At present, Mirren is promoting her upcoming film Thursday Murder Club during which she opened that “the hardest part is the condescension – it really annoys me.”
She told The Times, “If my husband and I are holding hands, someone might say, ‘Oh, look. How sweet.’ It’s like, excuse my language, ‘F*** off.”
The Fast and Furious star says that people think they are being generous and kind, but the truth is their attitude is quite insulting.
She said, “There’s something very condescending about some people’s attitudes and I think they think they are being kind and generous. But they’re not. They’re being insulting.”
Helen’s new film also features Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, Celia Imrie, Daniel Mays, Tom Ellis and others.
Directed by Chris Columbus, the mystery comedy follows the story of four retirees who spend their time solving cold case murders for fun, but their lives take a turn when they find themselves in a real murder case.
The all-new Netflix film is slated to release on August 28.
