Freddie Stroma expresses concern over why minors should skip ‘Peacemaker’

The Peacemaker star, Freddie Stroma has raised caution on the release of the show's season two, worried that it might attract the wrong audience.

Stroma, who plays Vigilante/Adrian Chase in the series, admitted he's nervous about young Superman fans being introduced to mature superhero series.

"It's weird because it’s a new universe, but it doesn’t really affect us as much," he told Discussing Film.

He added, "I keep thinking about the fact that Superman has come out, and then, if younger viewers are going to come in and see that first episode, I don’t know what they’re going to think."

The Pitch Perfect actor went on to say, "I keep thinking about that with the universe change. I guess that’s just part of it. For us, it’s kind of business as usual. We’re the Peacemaker lot and we do pretty R-rated stuff."

Meanwhile, the director and co-CEO of DCU, James Gunn had released Superman in digital on August 15, explaining that he "wanted everyone to be able to see Superman that wanted to, even those people who couldn’t get to a theater before Peacemaker."

Serving as a precursor for the events of Peacemaker Season 2, Superman supporting characters Green Lantern/Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion), Hawkgirl/Kendra Saunders (Isabela Merced) and Maxwell Lord (Sean Gunn) appeared in a teaser for upcoming episodes.

Peacemaker is set to release on August 21.
