Alicia Silverstone gave a thrilling update about the upcoming sequel series of 1995s Clueless.
Silverstone is set to reprise her iconic role, Cher Horowitz in the coming-of-age comedy.
During an appearance on the Today show, when asked about if she can share something about the Peacock series, she teased, "Not much," before adding, "I'm really excited about it. I think we’re going to try really hard. The goal is to make it honour what everyone loves about Clueless and Cher."
She added, "So we want to honour that, but also bring something fresh and new to it. I'm confident that we'll be able to do that, but we're in baby stages right now."
Previously, Silverstone through her Instagram post revealed that she will be reprising her role in the sequel series.
"Totally buggin'… in the best way," she wrote on her Instagram at the time, alongside a still and a GIF from Clueless and a screenshot of Variety's report about the project.
Plot details for the series are unknown, but the outlet reported that it is a follow-up to the movie.
Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are writing with Jordan Weiss. Amy Heckerling, who wrote and directed the film, is involved as an executive producer, alongside Silverstone and producer Robert Lawrence.
Originally, Clueless released in theatres in 1995 and was loosely inspired by Jane Austen's novel Emma.
The cast also included Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash, Donald Faison, Brittany Murphy and Dan Hedaya.
