'Avengers: Doomsday' to bring in Robert Downey Jr as 'Doctor Doom'

Anthony Mackie has shared a major update about the upcoming Avengers movie.

Directed by the Russo brothers, the 2026 Avengers: Doomsday will reunite most of the Marvel stars including Robert Downey Jr, Pedro Pascal, Tom Hiddleston, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan and many more.

The all new MCU film will also bring back Alan Cumming as the "Nightcrawler".

In a recent interview with the Screen Rant, Anthony addressed whether the filming has been wrapped up or not.

The 46-year-old, while spilling beans about the much-anticipated movie, revealed that the fresh action sci-fi is still in the making.

When asked if the makers are heading close to wrapping production, Anthony responded, “No, we are in the midst of it.”

He went on to say, “I mean, it's such a big, moving set piece, and it's such a big story. The best part of shooting a Marvel movie is that it's always an ever-evolving canvas.”

“There are those staple pieces, and then there are the pieces that circulate throughout the course of the shoot.”

According to Mackie, the production is midway and it’s going well.

Avengers: Doomsday is slated to come out in theatres on December 18.
