Gwyneth Paltrow confessed feeling bitter when her ex-boyfriend Brad Pitt married Jennifer Aniston in 2000.
The 52-year-old actress unveiled her reaction to the wedding in her upcoming book, Gwyneth: The Biography, written by Amy Odell.
After the Seven co-stars split up in 1997, Pitt went on to get engaged to Aniston in 1999 and later got married in 2000.
In an excerpt from her upcoming biography, Odell reveals that Paltrow was asked in an interview back in 2000, about how she felt about the Fight Club star marrying Aniston, as per Us Weekly.
“Are you really asking me this question?” Gwyneth replied, her eyes now “daggers.” “I can’t comment on this kind of thing.” In reality, Odell writes, Gwyneth told her friends that she’d felt sad when she learned they were getting married.
The same year, at a business meeting with fellow socialite, Aerin Lauder, the Shakespeare in Love actress reportedly told her, “He’s dumber than a sack of s–t,” as the two got talking about Pitt.
Paltrow allegedly also developed a habit of telling people that the F1 star has a “terrible” taste in women.
Even though the two were really different from each other and incompatible at times, the breakup was hard for Paltrow to deal with.
The biography gets into more details about the relationship, and is set to be released on July 29th.
