Harry Potterseries gave a surprising update about the villain Lord Voldemort casting in the drama.
Previously played by Ralph Fiennes, the wizarding world’s iconic antagonist has already been cast for the new series.
According to a report from Redanian Intelligence, the Dark Lord is set to appear in multiple episodes of Harry Potter season one.
"Another piece they mentioned is that Voldemort is already cast and will appear in several episodes, but HBO has no plans of announcing his casting and want to keep him secret until the season airs," it said.
The outlet continued, "Whether or not they’ll succeed, remains to be seen. After all, this will be the most sought-after piece of information about this series."
The same report says Harry Potter will consist of just 6 episodes per season, and Seasons 1 and 2 will film back to back.
While the actor is yet to be revealed, the Oscar-winner star Cillian Murphy emerged as a fan favourite to play Voldemort.
Earlier, television Group CEO Channing Dungey offered a "no comment" when asked if Murphy was being looked at for Professor Quirrell, a role that ultimately went to Luke Thallon.
Last month, the Fiennes also offered some advice to whoever takes on the role in the remake, saying, "Make sure you can handle the long flowing robes and don’t trip over them. Practice your long flowing robe walk."
Production on Harry Potter's first season kicked off earlier this week, starring Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout.
The new TV series is set to premiere somewhere in 2027.
