Freddie Prinze Jr. has recently expressed his excitement for working with co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt on the I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel.
While speaking to PEOPLE, the She’s All That actress said, “Whatever a high school union feels like, that’s what it felt like.”
“You have no idea what’s changed, what’s the same,” continued the 49-year-old.
Freddie revealed, “You’re excited to show what you think you’re better at, you know what I mean? You hope they notice it. It was all those things.”
Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the Scooby-Doo actor opened up about his experience working with leading lady in the movie.
Freddie believed that he trusted Jennifer and he didn’t have any reason “not to trust her”.
“I know how much this character means to her. She puts everything into this girl and always has since the first movie,” explained the Summer Catch actor.
Freddie also noted that whenever he got together with Jennifer for the movies, “they’re the best scenes that we’ve put on camera together, of any of the three movies”.
“I know there was another one in there, but I never saw that one,” added the actor.
In the end, Freddie added. “I’m really proud of the work that Love and I got to do on screen. I think it’s the best work we’ve done in all three of the movies that we did together. And I don’t think it’s close.”
Meanwhile, I Know What You Did Last Summer is slated to release in theates on July 18.
