Gareth Edwards, director of Jurassic World Rebirth, has opened how he wanted to add a new element in the movie apart from dinosaurs.
The new action sci-fi features Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey as Zora Bennett and Dr. Henry Loomi.
The filmmaker admitted that he knew he could not sell the movie with only dinosaurs as the audience isn’t interested in watching that anymore.
In a recent interview, Gareth said, “There's been many dinosaur films in terms of Jurassics, and the audience, you've got to do something new and fresh to give them a reason to come see the movie.”
While talking to Games Radar+, he explained, “And so by acknowledging that at the beginning and saying, ‘Look, audiences aren't that interested in dinosaurs anymore’, I thought it was like, ‘Okay, well, this is an honest beginning. Let's see where we go from here.’”
The new Jurassic World movie follows a team of covert operatives working to stop a rouge biotech group releasing weaponized dinosaurs across the globe.
The movie also featured Mahershala Ali, Luna Blaise, Ed Skrein and Rupert Friend.
