Tom Cruise's 63rd birthday got a little extra shine thanks to a sweet tribute from longtime friend David Beckham.
Before marking his 26th wedding anniversary with Victoria, the former Real Madrid star shared a birthday message for the Hollywood A-lister.
Taking over to his Instagram Stories on Thursday night, July 2, the soccer legend posted a recent photo of the two dressed alike in white tuxedos and black bow ties, caught in a moment of laughter.
"Happy Birthday Man x," he captioned the black and white snapshot of the duo, exchanging laughs as the 50-year-old retired athlete patted the Top Gun star’s back.
The Hollywood action hero and Beckham formed a strong bond after the soccer legend moved to Los Angeles in 2007 to join the LA Galaxy.
During that transition, Cruise, who was married to Katie Holmes that time is said to have helped the Beckhams settle in, with sources telling The Mirror that he "did everything for them when they first moved to LA," even hosting a welcome party for their introduction to the city’s elite.
While their friendship reportedly cooled when Beckham declined Cruise’s invitation to explore Scientology, reconciliation appears to have taken place over the past years.
