Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise's awkward interaction at 'F1' premiere

The "F1" premiere in London brought together two of Hollywood's biggest stars, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, in a surprise appearance that caught fans off guard. The two actors, who starred together in the 1994 horror classic "Interview With the Vampire," seemed uncomfortable as they tried to hug and share a good moment.

Pitt and Cruise's last collaboration was 31 years ago, and their recent interaction has sparked speculation about a possible rift between the two superstars. According to Pitt, the two were once set to star in a version of "Ford v Ferrari" with director Joseph Kosinski, but the project never came to fruition.

The Babylon actor's latest movie, "F1," has him starring as former F1 driver Sonny Hayes, who returns to the sport to partner rookie teammate Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris.

Pitt has revealed that he's been trying to make a racing movie for 20 years, and he's thrilled to have finally succeeded with "F1."

The actor and Idris got behind the wheel of racing cars themselves, with the pair taking to the track at circuits across the F1 calendar alongside experienced, professional drivers.

"I think by the time we get to the movie, it's undeniable [that we are driving the cars]," smiles Pitt, with his actions captured by cutting-edge camera technology.

Pitt's passion for racing is evident, and he's been a fan of F1 for years. "I've always loved racing," Pitt begins.

"I grew up with Jackie Stewart [racing in F1 as] some of my earliest memories. In the '90s I really got heavily into MotoGP. Then I started veering into F1, and here we are."
