Justin Baldoni is looking forward to “vindicating” himself in court as he prepares to face off against Blake Lively in their upcoming trial.
Although Baldoni’s defamation lawsuit against Lively have been dismissed by a New York judge, the It Ends With Us co-stars are still set to face off in court as Lively’s sexual harassment complaint goes to trial in March 2026.
And Baldoni remains determined.
“He’s waiting for his day in court, where he can speak out to tell the truth,” said his lawyer Bryan Freedman in a June 10 TMZ Live interview.
“I think that he’s a person who wants to be vindicated, and that’s all that he cares about. He knows what he’s done… what he hasn’t done. And he wants the truth to come out,”
Freedman further claimed that the Gossip Girl alum is “afraid of the truth,” continuing to refute her November 2024 sexual harassment and retaliation claims against Baldoni.
“The truth is going to be shown through depositions, which is what is going to be next,” he said, revealing that Lively has been given her deposition notice for sometime this month.
“We’re gonna proceed forward with the case… It’s really just that simple. It’s unfortunate to be wrongfully accused here,” Freedman declared.
The interview came a day after Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed most of Baldoni’s claims in both his defamation lawsuits— a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds and a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times.
However, the judge’s orders specifically allowed Baldoni to amend his claims by June 23.
