Sydney Sweeney addresses drastic transformation to play boxer biopic

Sydney Sweeney has recently addressed physical dramatic transformation for her upcoming biopic.

In a new interview interview with W magazine, the Euphoria actress revealed gaining weight to play iconic boxer, Christy Martin in her forthcoming movie directed by David Michôd.

“I came onboard to play Christy, and I had about three and a half months of training,” revealed the 27-yar-old.

Sydney told the outlet that she began eating to gain her weight.

“I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour,” explained the Anyone But You actress.

Sydney, who gained over 30 pounds for the role, shared that her body “was completely different”.

“I didn’t fit in any of my clothes. I’m usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27,” mentioned the Immaculate actress.

Sydney further said that her “breats got bigger. And my butt got huge. It was crazy! I was like, Oh my god”.

However, the actress added, “It was amazing: I was so strong, like crazy strong.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Sydney opened up about her love for adventurous activities, saying, “I would have bruises all over me.”

“I loved it! My mom always wanted to make sure that acting wasn’t the only thing in my life,” mentioned the Madame Web actress.

It is pertinent to mention that Sydney will play Martin role in an untitled sports biopic which is co-written by Mirrah Foulkes.

The movie will showcase the boxing star’s rise to become America’s most well-known female boxer of the 1990s.
