May the odds be in his favour because Kieran Culkin isn’t exactly feeling confident about his Hunger Games debut.
The Oscar winner, set to play master of ceremonies Caesar Flickerman in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, urged fans to "lower those expectations" as he’s unsure yet about how to helm the major role.
In a recent TikTok posted by user lielbernis, Culkin was seen signing Glengarry Glen Ross Playbills when a fan told him he’d make an "amazing" Caesar Flickerman, which left him a bit concerned.
"I don’t think so, lower those expectations, please. Please do. I have no idea what I’m gonna do with that," A Real Pain actor responded half-jokingly but a bit concerned.
Given that he’s halfway to EGOT status, the Home Alone actor might just be keeping things grounded or staying humble amid the growing buzz.
When Entertainment Tonight followed up to ask if he really meant what he said, Culkin simply shook his head and joked, "Did I say that? F***."
For the unversed, Kieran will play a role in the upcoming Hunger Games, which Stanley Tucci portrayed initially in the Hunger Games film series based on Suzanne Collins’ bestselling novels.
The star-studded cast of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, includes Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket (originated by Elizabeth Banks), Ralph Fiennes as President Snow (originated by the late Donald Sutherland) and amny more.
