Keanu Reeves, who is globally acclaimed for his action packed franchise John Wick, will be returning for a fifth entry.
However, fourth chapter of the movie depicted the titular hitman’s death in the 2023. Even though, the makers did not show any body rather they only showcased Wick’s tombstone.
Director Chad Stahelski has officially confirmed that he has started working on the new sequel with Reeves reprising his role as a the hitman.
While spilling insights about the upcoming film, Chad revealed that him and Mike Finch, writer of John Wick 4, has started working on the script of the fifth installment.
According to the filmmaker, they have got a pretty good story in their minds.
"I’m not going to lie to you, it’s a bit of a conundrum. Me and Mike Finch — the writer on 4 who’s also writing 5 — we’ve got a pretty good story that I think is cool”, the 56-year-old added.
In conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, The Crow director explained, “Once we have a 50-page book, and if we’re feeling it, we’ll sit with Keanu and shape this thing.
He continued, "Look, everybody seems to want it. It’s a matter of whether we crack it. We’re actively working on it. It’s just … is it going to be satisfying?"
The most-loved fourth sequel also featured Bill Skarsgård, Scott Adkins, Donnie Yen, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick.
